Our Story Our Legacy
The Trigg County Veterinary Clinic has been in operation since April 1, 1984. It was first opened by Dr. Sam and Lynn Cofield, who moved to the Trigg County area upon graduating from Auburn University’s College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Sam and Lynn operated the clinic for 35 years, and with hopes of retirement in their future they set out to find a new set of owners who would continue the legacy that they had created. On February 1, 2019 the clinic was officially transferred to Dr. Jacqueline Erin Graves and Dr. Shaina Wheatley.
Dr. Graves and Dr. Wheatley began working for the Cofields’ in the summer of 2017 upon graduation from Auburn University’s College of Veterinary Medicine. Though neither locals of the Trigg County area they have developed roots into the community and hope to serve the locals as the Cofields’ have for years to come.
While many things have changed since 1984 when the hospital first opened, the family atmosphere and compassionate care for the animals has stayed the same. All doctors work closely with each other and the staff to help provide the best veterinary experience to the owners and pets of Trigg County and the surrounding areas.
